SDG indicator 5.5.2: Proportion of women in managerial positions (previous ILO definition - ICLS13) is currently reported for 137 countries. The highest value is 67.41 in Burkina Faso; the lowest is 6.12 in Pakistan.

The median across all reporting countries is 36.1, and the mean is 35.17.

The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 11.

Over the past decade 103 countries rose and 34 fell. The largest increase was in Bhutan (up 173.6%), and the largest decrease in Bangladesh (down 53.3%).

The female share of employment in managerial positions conveys the number of women in management as a percentage of employment in management. Employment in management is defined based on the International Standard Classification of Occupations. This series refers to total management (category 1 of ISCO-08 or ISCO-88). There is another series referring to senior and middle management only, thus excluding junior management (category 1 in both ISCO-08 and ISCO-88 minus category 14 in ISCO-08 and minus category 13 in ISCO-88).
