SDG indicator 5.5.2: Proportion of women in managerial positions (current ILO definition - ICLS19) is currently reported for 68 countries. The highest value is 50.37 in Barbados; the lowest is 14.4 in Japan.
The median across all reporting countries is 37.86, and the mean is 35.91.
The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 3.
Over the past decade 50 countries rose and 14 fell. The largest increase was in Saudi Arabia (up 126.4%), and the largest decrease in Cambodia (down 31.1%).

The female share of employment in managerial positions conveys the number of women in management as a percentage of employment in management. Employment in management is defined based on the International Standard Classification of Occupations. This series refers to total management (category 1 of ISCO-08 or ISCO-88). There is another series referring to senior and middle management only, thus excluding junior management (category 1 in both ISCO-08 and ISCO-88 minus category 14 in ISCO-08 and minus category 13 in ISCO-88).
