What the numbers show
Youth participation rate in work-based learning is currently reported for 36 countries. The highest value is 467.62 in Czechia; the lowest is 0.36 in Zimbabwe.
The median across all reporting countries is 17.48, and the mean is 51.09.
The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 1,299.
Over the past decade 20 countries rose and 16 fell. The largest increase was in Seychelles (up 2,775.0%), and the largest decrease in Jordan (down 91.9%).

About this data
With the aim of promoting international comparability, statistics presented on ILOSTAT are based on standard international definitions wherever feasible and may differ from official national figures. This series is based on the 13th ICLS definitions. For time series comparability, it includes countries that have implemented the 19th ICLS standards, for which data are also available in the Work Statistics -- 19th ICLS (WORK) database. Work-based learning refers to all forms of learning that take place in a real work environment. It may but does not always combine elements of learning in the workplace with off-the-job learning.
